High-Purity Silicon
8–9N
High-Purity Silicon
Silicon with impurities brought down to parts-per-billion levels by chemical purification, targeting the 8–9N range.
Technical Specifications
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Purity (target) | 8N – 9N |
| Form | Polycrystalline chunk, ingot |
| Metallic impurities | ppb level (lot report) |
| Application | Semiconductor, photovoltaic |

High-purity silicon is produced by passing metallurgical silicon through chemical purification stages. The 8–9N purity target requires metallic impurities to be brought to ppb level and light elements such as carbon and oxygen to defined limits.
The product is supplied for solar and semiconductor applications, documented according to customer qualification specifications.
